Well, first, here is the standard tuning of a six string guitar:

6. String: E

5. String: A

4. String: D

3. String: G

2. String: B

The first string is the thinnest and the sixth string the fattest.

Relative tuning: tuning an electric guitar by ear.

Suppose your sixth strings just(Note e) in the melody. You can tune your sixth string with another guitar, the melody is in a tuning fork, a piano, an electronic tuner or even a MIDI file on your computer. Then all you have to match information on adjacent strings.

Play the 6th string at the 5th Covenant. You should set the tone of the 5th string open.

Play the 5th string on 5 Covenant. It was the sound of the 4th string open.

Play the fourth string on 5 Covenant. You must set the toneThird String open.

Play the 3rd string in the 4th Covenant. It was the sound of the 2nd string open.

Play the 2nd string out of 5 Covenant. It was the sound of the first string open.

You can also make your guitar by octaves.

An octave is the interval between two notes with the same name. On the scale: the two CDEFGABC C are an octave apart.

Play the 6th string open. There should be one octave apart with the 5th string to be 7Covenant.

Play the 5th string open. There should be one octave apart with the 4th string will be 7 Covenant.

Play the open fourth string. There should be an 'eighth of the third string of 7 to worry about.

Play the 3rd string open. There should be one octave apart with the second string of 8 to worry about.

Play the 2nd string open. There should be one octave apart with the first string of 7 Covenant.

If your ear is sufficiently developed, you should be able to tune your guitar, usingChords. Simply play a chord and tune the strings so the chord that sounds good.
